Since 2003, Competitive Intelligence (CI) has been a rapidly growing segment of China 's information services market. More than 15,000 senior managers and CI practitioners have been trained in China . From 2003 to 2006, 150 Chinese companies bought CI software from Chinese suppliers. These companies are currently in dire need of powerful, up-to-date software to replace their old CI systems. It is anticipated that in 2009 and 2010, Chinese companies will need approximately 500 new CI licenses (Firm), which equates to a market value of 250 to 500 million RMB .
