Carole Brückler

Carole Brückler is the Director of Deallus' Asia-Pacific operations. Previously she led the established European business. She has extensive experience across many therapy areas including CNS, Vaccines, CVM and respiratory fields and has supported strategy across the entire product lifecycle and at Franchise level.

Carole is experienced in facilitating and leading project review meetings, delivered to a multi-disciplinary franchise team with the objective of generating recommended business actions. Carole has also significant experience in facilitating wargames and workshops, supporting global and national strategy. Carole has also lectured at multiple CI in Pharma industry conferences on the challenges of conducting CI in the vaccines area specifically, most recently in Parsippany in September 2010. Prior to joining Deallus, Carole worked in preclinical R&D, both in a synthetic organic setting, as well as an analytical setting in support of asthma treatments at GSK. Carole completed her PhD in Chemical Biology at the University of Edinburgh, having research and developed solid-supported reagents for the synthesis of nucleoside pro-drugs and tri-phosphates. Carole is a joint inventor and patent holder of this technology. In addition to her academic qualifications and professional credentials, Carole speaks German, French and Luxembourgish.

        

Jean-Marie Rousseau

Jean-Marie Rousseau has worked over the last twelve years in regional innovation strategies, specializing in R&D valorization, territorial intelligence as well as social and human capital issues within the knowledge economy.

Appointed by the European Commission, firstly within DG Regional Policy (2000-2003) and then DG Research (2003-2006), he has been responsible for important initiatives such as the ‘Regional Programs of Innovative Actions’ and the ‘Regions of Knowledge’ Program, while bringing a major contribution to studies such as ‘Constructing the Regional Advantage’ by leading a European experts’ group.

He previously benefited from an important background (for twenty-five years) in support programs of SMEs’ management in Europe and Africa with the French government (Chambers of commerce and industry and Ministry of Industry), and then the International Trade Center (Geneva) and the United Nations Development Program (New York).

He is currently working as an independent consultant in Brussels in Territorial Intelligence and Regional Innovation Strategies and yet actively contributed to many reports for international institutions and national or regional governments all over the world, including Europe, Mediterranean countries, South-America and Asia. His last significant missions were mostly run in China for comprehensive surveys in terms of differentiated economic policies, meso-economies and territorial intelligence, on behalf of European national governments and in cooperation with the central Chinese government and local authorities.

Dr. Benjamin Feng CHEN is research fellow of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China(ISTIC), and founder member of China Consulting Association for Science and Technology. Dr. Chen received his Management Ph.D Degree at Peking University in 2002 after finishing his doctoral dissertation titled “Studies on Competitive intelligence Oriented Business Strategic Management ”.In June 2006, Dr. Chen finished his postdoctoral research major in technology foresight after two years. As one of the leading series on informatics research field, his book “Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Management” was published by Scientific and Technical Publishing House in November, 2004 and over 30 papers have been published on the core periodicals.
