She has published on the evaluation of competitive intelligence software applications, competitive intelligence, knowledge management, business information services, and the management of information services. She has conducted research on the information needs of small businesses, the design of information services for the business community, and on the use of information technology by competitive and strategic intelligence practitioners. As a consultant, she has advised corporations and government agencies on the design of intelligence software and on the structure and impact of intelligence services to improve their decision-making process

Claudia Clayton is the Membership Chair of SLA Competitive Intelligence Divisions.And she is the Managing Director of ViewPoint, a strategy, consulting and research firm founded in 1993. Claudia leads the competitive intelligence activities of ViewPoint on behalf of major US corporations in multiple industries. Prior to managing ViewPoint, Claudia served in a number of strategy and development roles as a Vice President with Citigroup and GE Capital. Her background includes marketing and product development roles for profit-making companies and the American Management Associations.

Benjamin Feng CHEN

Dr. Benjamin Feng CHEN is research fellow of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China(ISTIC), and founder member of China Consulting Association for Science and Technology. Dr. Chen received his Management Ph.D Degree at Peking University in 2002 after finishing his doctoral dissertation titled “Studies on Competitive intelligence Oriented Business Strategic Management ”.In June 2006, Dr. Chen finished his postdoctoral research major in technology foresight after two years. As one of the leading series on informatics research field, his book “Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Management” was published by Scientific and Technical Publishing House in November, 2004 and over 30 papers have been published on the core periodicals. Moreover, Dr. Chen has been teaching postgraduate students the courses of “Competitive Intelligence” and “Competitive Strategies and Advantages” at ISTIC and Antai School of Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University and giving lectures and trainings to more than 30 companies, for example, China Network Communications Group Corporation, Guangdong Mobile Communications Corporation, Shougang Group etc.
