Arik Johnson

Arik Johnson is chief executive of the competitive intelligence think tank and reconnaissance bureau, Aurora WDC, which he founded in 1995. As managing director and chief architect of Aurora’s consulting business, Arik works with organizations of all kinds to develop their intelligence apparatus to monitor, detect and interpret change in their business environment.

Gabriel Anderbjork

After pursuing postgraduate studies at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, in the late 1980s, he then spent more than 10 years within the Ericsson group, first within the field of technical project management and later in various roles as finance- and business development manager. Parallel to his studies at London Business School in 1991-1993 he also worked as a structured trade finance analyst at the Citibank European head office.
In January 1999 Gabriel Anderbjork, together with two of his Ericsson colleagues, founded the software company Comintell, which today has a solid customer stock consisting of major international corporations both in Europe and North America. Within Comintell they have continued the tradition of being a leading developer within the field of information management with a focus on competitive intelligence. The company has received a number of international top class awards.
Gabriel Anderbjork is today executive chairman of the board of Comintelli, in charge of international distribution channels. Further he has, since 1999, acted as consultant as well as educator for several major international corporations. Customers include Birka Energi, Elisa Corporation, Skanska Modul, China Unicom and Motorola (Guangzhou), Siemens A.G., Astra Zeneca (USA), Telekom Slovenia, Stockholm University, Volvo Cars and others.

Daniel D. Baird

Mr. Daniel D. Baird is a senior member of the KappaWest professional staff, and has developed and led several Wargames in the Healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, defense, and consumer products sectors. He is an accomplished intelligence professional, who has planned and conducted intelligence operations and developed intelligence organizations, both in the public and private sector. His background includes developing the business intelligence and strategic planning infrastructure for a FORTUNE 100 Medical Device and Consumer Products Company.
Mr. Baird’s expertise in intelligence analysis and Wargaming comes from over 16 years of military service in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps and the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. As a veteran of multiple wars, from Bosnia to Afghanistan, Mr. Baird has extensive experience in strategic planning, operations, and training.
Mr. Baird has a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from Michigan State University, as well as an M.S. in Medical Science and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management. Mr. Baird has spent 15 years in the Medical field as a Certified Surgical Assistant, and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the National Surgical Assistant Association. Mr. Baird has also served as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the National Surgical Assistant Association, and has extensive experience in writing legislation regarding professional credentials and standards development within the regulated healthcare environment. As an active member of the Coalition for Professional Certification, Dan also participates in the development and management of private sector certification programs.

August Jackson has been a Senior Consultant with Verizon Business since 2007 supporting marketing, sales, business and corporate strategy. Prior to his role at Verizon Business August was a consultant to the government intelligence community applying commercial intelligence tools and methods to national security intelligence missions.
In his role at Verizon Business August is leading the effort to quantify the global market opportunity for the diverse portfolio of products and services. This project reveals near-term opportunities for revenue growth and drives strategic and tactical planning. August applies market and competitive intelligence best practices to support marketing and sales activities across the business. He has successfully anticipated majors shift in customer purchasing and provided guidance to executives on how to adjust sales strategies to take advantage of opportunities to grow revenue. August also benchmarks business processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive innovation and increase collaboration across functional organizations.
August attended the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business where he earned his MBA (2008). He has a B.A. (1997) in International Affairs from the George Washington University. He is an active member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), serving as chapter chair for the Washington, DC chapter (2005-2009) and received the Society’s Catalyst Award in 2007.

Benjamin Feng CHEN

Dr. Benjamin Feng Chen is associate research fellow of Institute at the Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), Deputy Secretary General of Society Competitive Intelligence of China (SCIC), and Founding member of China Consulting Association for Science and Technology. Dr. Chen received his Management Ph.D Degree at Peking University in 2002 after finishing his doctoral dissertation titled “Studies on Competitive intelligence Oriented Business Strategic Management ”.In June 2006, Dr. Chen finished his postdoctoral research major in technology foresight after two years. As one of the leading series on informatics research field, his book “Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Management” was published by Scientific and Technical Publishing House in November, 2004 and over 30 papers have been published on the core periodicals. Xaowei Wu

XiaoWei Wu is the dean of school of information & computer of Shanghai Business School, Ph.D, and associate Professor. He have been engaging in enterprise competitive intelligence education and research for a long time and made postdoctoral research whose topic is "interpersonal competitive intelligence research” in Tongji University in 2007.He acquired a number of research results in interpersonal intelligence analysis fields and took a number of national and provincial ministerial-level projects.
